Alright...Alright... here ya have it "THE PLAN"-
First we ALL engage in full on protest at the capitol (rally and muster up some big relentless noise),
then we sue Mc Crackhead and the fantastic fun fun club for punitive damages to the miners of California (class act lawsuit) and use those proceeds to get a real laywer and resurrect the WMC,
and then we run all the miners mining the miners and the greenie fag bastards out of Cal forever. Image

Ok Now, so whats be your plan? to keep pissing in the wind? hoping for a different effect.

This fight will have to be won in another state at federal level as I have never-ever seen California reverse or back down on legislation specially pertaining to loss of freedoms regarding eviro issues (lies or not).
Maybe Idaho would be a place to make a stand and claim a win but the way it is snowballing here this may still not help us out in Cal.

Hoser, Got a few more hours in today and the trough is still paying quite well but need a wetsuit heater as the sideline campfire ain't cutting it, nope.
Hey, Beggars can't be choosers as I was lucky the abandoned subbie fired up with little effort on my part, good ol'Briggs I/C, shoot been there for ten years or more in the hidden bottoms.
Now that I am thinking of it, Could also use a winch but like hell am I packing one down in there in that hole never to be seen again.

Hey CGD & Hoser:

How about you smart fellas work up a STEALTH DREDGIN SUBMARINE this winter. You can paint the topside to look like a gravel bar and put a automatic auger on the front to pull the dredgins in the front end and have a big carpeted sluice down the middle of the sub and make it so the tailings squirt out of the back end. That way you can work all winter long while the Air Rangers are flying overhead in their Hoppety choppers looking for Pot fields and such.

What do you think of that plan? Maybe get a couple 50 cal to mount on top to keep the bears away.

Just thinking out loud here. SAD :?

Oh thank God, we actually have a PLAN!

Lets think about that for a minute...

Full on protest - good, I actually like this. We should have done this every time the DFG or tribes had a meeting. But wait, there may be a problem and dickb nailed it in the previous post.
Here on the various forums there is a small group (20-30) of guys who are active and maybe a couple hundred more that lurk. In the mining community there may be a couple thousand but most of them are nameless and not online. They are solitary and reclusive and may not have a clue about what is happening or just weekend warriors and don't care.
How do you propose to gather all these people for a protest? That 20-30 are the ones who will show but they are scattered across the globe...bummer

Class action lawsuit - really? Did DM or the club promise you anything? Did you have a contract that he broke? The DFG and tribes wanted this shutdown and others weren't able to stop it for you, this is not the basis of a tort claim. Punitive damages? DM has caused you no harm, the DFG and Tribes did (if you think about it in a wierd kinda way) so your hole in one lawsuit should be aimed at them. Maybe you can sue the CHP for the last speeding ticket you got while your at it.

My plan? First, I would suggest you return the "lawyering for dummies" book. Then suggest you stop pissing on the campfire. If you want to show us a better way, stand up and lead.
I plan to keep on supporting those who fight legally and hope for the best

Whatever, Dan. Do as you please and I'll do as I and live with it.
I do agree should have protested as I tried to rally back in 2009 and 2010. Too little, too late, now.

Keep on pizz'n in the wind (down-wind from me please) but don't expect any different of an outcome.

 Question for ya Bonaro about your broke statement--Who is supposed to be broke and why would a mans financial situation have any bearing what so ever in this land of millions of bankrupt citizens?? Because a man was conned out of his life savings demotes his opinions into irrelevance?? I think not as old Abe Lincoln was broke for all and well intent purposes. I ain't never been broke in my life as I have owned my homes, lands, vehicles all and have paid cash(gold too) for everything I've bought for over 30 years. As a real miner you must have the packrat mentality to withstand the feast and famine of mining.
Next--You want dredgers busted?? How is "They'll take my dredge nozzle outta my cold dead hands" any different than Patrick Henrys famous rant"Give me liberty or give me death??? I think not . ;)
Cival disobediance was the foundation of this countries formation and it's swept the world and toppled nations, and now FINALLY this nation. So ifn' ya want to be a bootlicker or a reformist time is here. I have always done my things my way and will continue to fly everyday of my life like a eagle whilst you waddle through it like a duck.
The government is FUBAR kaput and 100% bankrupt, local, county, state and federal as those who have continue to buy politicians(legal now too) to keep introducing measures againt the people and the nation as a hole. Hell now in kalif, land of ignorance they are kicking vets off of college grants to pay illegal aliens to go to college. I see the rants of VETERANS DAMNIT who have been booted. My grandkids are being forced in our schools to learn that queers, transgenders,he she and she hes are perfectly normal and acceptable with my tax dollars as their school work. They are being brainwashed that mining is bad and must be stopped, that dams must be torn asunder for the friggn' fishies no matter how green they are??
How can that clown Brown grant rights reserved for born citizens(in direct violation of federal laws) to an person who is here illegally --who is a criminal by all definition of law over a born american citizen. Illegals walk into any DMV with no ID or birth certificate and get a licence and my children cannot???  How can the state damn all miners for mercury pollution and mandate that HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF POUNDS OF MERCURY FILLED GLASS TUBES be mandated to light our homes??? Water board says mercury water pollution up 27% !! Must be them damn dredgers--oops dredging killed years ago and who d'LL they gonna blame now??
The biggest power grab in the history of this state is now been put into action. The water board is in the final process of mandating that all water taken and all water used be permitted with permits. In every stream, creek and gully no more dredging, highbanking, sluicing or panning without a ungodly permit, insane requirements for any use. They environutz figured out long ago that he who controls the waters controls the state and guess who has lost. They are even trying to close kayaking now(spent the day cruising whiskeytown yesterday and perfect) because we hurt fish and destroy habitat with out paddles and disrupt the sacred indian grounds but their 800hp smog belching noisy dragster boats do not hurt nuttn'. Clearly the haves have pitted themselves against the have nots and the riots have started and I salute every damn one of'm as democracy in action will hopefully bring down the insanity and ifn' the failed experiment in democracy fails so be it. 8-)
The one thing I love about this internet thing is that like minded individuals will come together and rally against the oppressors and the devil take the hindmost. My proof is the history of the spoken and printed word, which you are too damn lazy to read-(-link link I'm too lazy to even google, spoon feed me info so I can exprapolate what I want to believe) You do your thing and I'll do my thang and see who gets the gold 8-) 8-) 8-) John

Hey Hoser:

If more folks talked like the way you think, this country would be a much different place to live, love and raise our kids.

Just maybe one new person will hear what you said and tell someone else.. ... .... HOPE

Hoser, I will get the easy part out of the way first. The last three paragraphs of what you wrote ring true as a bell and I am 100% on the same page with you. Also, it is a lot easier to talk to you when you are not cursing at and degrading people, thank you.

Not sure what you mean with the broke comment. We all have had hard times and myself is no exception (now is one of them) and that in no way has anything to do with what a man believed or stands for. I dont know what you are talking about RE: someone being conned out of life savings.

No, I absolutely do not want dredgers busted if they don't deserve it. However, like it or not, fair or unfair, it is currently against the law to dredge in Cali. Knowing this if you choose to willfully break the law of the land, you are a criminal. This renegade mining bullshit is going to kill us all. There is no justification for this other than stubbornness. Otherwise good guys are going to get fines and jail, the fines will get steeper and every miner will get a bad name. This has nothing to do with give me liberty or give me death, it has everything to do with being on the right side of the law. Without that we are in anarchy. When Patrick Henry said that it was in the context of a revolutionary war and ,hardly comparable to

Ya know, I live in a liberal arts college town and I am surrounded by smelly hippy kids that just ache to find new things to protest. Protest and civil disobedience is part of there rights as Americans. I support what they do and defend their right to do it because I believe in the principles of America. This does NOT mean I agree with them, I actually think most are complete idiots living off mommy and daddy's VISA and generally are a huge PITA. I usually ignore their antics...until they feel the need to spray paint something, burn some dumpsters or break some windows. At the point when they break the law I am 100% against anything they have to say and everything they stand for and actively do everything I can to shut them down.

If you care about having a relevant message you MUST stay on the right side of the law. The public will not support the needs or requests of a vigilante or renegade.

Pushing them to go to the protest is good...and if doesn't go your way are you going to wish them all dead, wish that the club be disbanded or curse them online to the world??? If they know that this is what you had planned for them I doubt they would follow you anywhere.

Sac is a 24 hour round trip drive, I cant be there but I will continue to do what I can to support and fund what is going on with respect to my distance.
I will NOT try and tear down your progress, your leadership or your unity.
Hows that?

Times have indeed changed and you either change with them or refuse. A Individaul choice and I will respect yours but you must respect mine.

Being up on the creek this time of year brings back the fondest memories of my childhood.
The year my dad sold everything got a travel trailer and my whole family wintered over on the claim.
I was a wee lad but remember it well, my dad agrees to it being the most memorable of times and if my mother still was around she would talk of it still.

They can take the dredge from the miner but you can't take the miner from the dredge. :) They most certainly can't take the memories. :D
