A friend of mine and I are in a argument.He says gold is 24 karat out of the ground,I say it's mixed with other metals.Who's right?(I believe I am of course!!) :roll:

Content varies WILDLY by location. Anywhere from 9kt-24. State geo reports state gold contents on differing ops and only a mile or two can make a 50% difference. Dog Creek .99-some clear creek .69-99,French Gulch same same---it's allll goood to me but yes I MUCH prefer .99-John

Think about it.

If gold is pure in the ground, why would you need to assay it and then refine it.

Still waiting john and it is real slow here. If not for tourist from Europe and south America we would have no one here. People from Canada and the USA are just not coming. Guess everyone is broke or scared or both.
