1st thing I did was to put a rust converter in the tank. it was mostly phosphoric acid. it turned the rust blue or black in color. when I dried it flaked off worse than the rusty metal did. I had put a bunch of nuts and bolts in the tank and shook it very good and washed it out before using the converter. now for the new problems. found 3 or 4 products when I started looking at moto tank repair. the problems is they don´t want to ship to Costa Rica. even companies that have international offices don´t have an office in central America. the closest office was Puerto rico and there office was for the Caribbean. but not central America. ok time to change gears. started looking for a new tank. found one fast $26.99. great! cheaper than the prep and liner. nope won´t ship outside the states and Canada. found a higher price tank . just under $40 and they will ship to central America for a $100 shipping.
back to square 1. I think I need to find a new tank. tried Honda Costa Rica……. no parts. any ideas ??¿¿
