can't make it to any of those. but some one should look in to the studies that the Monterey Bay Aquarium did about the decline off the Salmon population, it had nothing to do with the dredging.
My wife used to volunteer there so the info is there.

Jerry,
Thank you for keeping everyone informed of whats going on in the state. We are at a critical point right now and it is imperative that anyone who loves to prospect or just loves the outdoors, takes a stand and speaks out against some of the injustices that are being carried out against the American people. If we dont speak up and be heard, we could lose everything. I will be attending the Santa Clarita meeting and you can be assured that my voice well be heard.
We are under attack and the Extreme envirementalists are on the verge of shutting us down forever. I know it takes a lot of money to feed the lawyers to fight for us, So our club "San Fernando Valley Prospectors" will be donating 500 dollars to PLP. I encourage all other clubs and interested parties to donate what they can at this time or we could lose it all.
Jerry, once again I want thank you for fighting this battle for us. I honestly believe that if it wasnt for PLP, I would not be mining today.

Suction Dredge meetings for the new regulations

Postby cmfd70 » Mon Mar 14, 2011 2:17 am

Subject: Suction Dredge meetings for the new regulations

The following link has a list of the public meetings and where they are being held for the Ca. DFG Draft Environmental Impact Report. All miners and suction dredge operators should attend these meetings even if you do not testify.

Support from the minng community is very important and shows support for our right to suction dredge and mine. If you are affected in anyway from the proposed regulations you should testify as to what that affect is.

It is very hard to change the DFG's mind on what they want to do and direct them on what they should do if they are not aware of the problems the new regulations will create. Please, if at all possible make one or more of these meetings for your own benefit and the benefit of all concerned.

i agree these meetings are very important to the small scale mining community! ive been having a hard time getting people to help sending comments in for this support. people east of the Mississippi River have been reluctant to get involved on a individual basis or for that ,even on a club basis. it seems it just dont sink in that what happens in another state will end up in your state sooner or latter. some people will never beleive the shy is falling no matter what research you show them!!im at my wits end trying to explain it to them!
