Bonaro wrote:Any internet purchase should be made under the caveat of "buyer beware". Responsibility for getting screwed on a deal rests partly on the buyer who was not "beware" enough. I buy and sell thousands on Craigslist annually. I meet a lions share of flakes, thieves and scammers but I rarely get screwed because of lessons learned the hard way. Specifically, if part of the deal is not present then part of the money isn't either.

John may have dealt you wrong but you let him. This business of posting transcripts of private emails and aggressively slandering someone publicly because you wish to rally the troops only mire this board in mud and makes you look like a fool

I Know John personally and this is out of character for him...but people do change. John either has a life situation that prevents him from fulfilling this deal of he has intentionally screwed you.
Either way you are screwed and there is no amount of whining that will undo it. Use better judgement the next time you buy off the internet.

After you informed the forum of a deal gone wrong, nothing else was any of our business. Nobody here can help you... it is all between you and John...grow up and move on.

This thread has festered for almost 3 months and should be deleted

Thats bulldrippings and you know it. You started this thread so you could trash him to the only people you knew of that know him. If you wanted to contact him, have him served by the Hollywood, FL police dept. You have his address

I did not compare John to any CL deal...you should tune up your reading skills. I clearly stated that I have met flakes and scammers on CL and because of what I have learned there, I protect myself when making any transaction. Polekat should not have paid in full if all the the equipment was not there as agreed.

John is a friend of mine but I do not speak for his actions and choices. We have not heard Johns side of the story and until I do I can defend (or condemn) anyone. I tried to call john personally about this and could not reach him. I agree that Polekat has probably been wronged but that is an issue between he and John

That would have been done already, if, he was still in Florida. As my father-in-law is a Broward county detective. He told me that he was living in Pa. now. The ONLY contact that I've had from him, he said he was in Spain. But that was a month ago. I've left a few more voicemails since he said that his wife checks his messages. The voicemail that he left me, a month ago, stated that he would get in touch with me "next week". I hope that you do get in touch with him, Bonaro, he acted as if he didn't know why that I was trying to reach him. If his wife would call me, I'd be more than happy to discuss it with her.

I think this topic has run it's course.

I'm locking it before I end up having to delete it.
