Not much info but a old story---not knowing what to do in a emergency is indeed deadly...even in a "creek"-John

That is a shame and our sympathies go out to his family.

Remember folks spring run off can be deadly.

truely sad news! we almost lost Hoser 2 years back on DC when it was running hard for July when we put my dredge in. we had 3 guys (if you include me) to put it in and cross DC. Lee Logan was on the oppisite shore and John and myself were moving the dredge into the water, and as it went in John got caught up holding onto the dredge as it went for a "majical mystery ride" across the stream. and John got caught inbetween the tail of the dredge and a fallen tree across the stream.BUT because of Johns prowness and supirior super athletic abilitys he saved the day and himself to my releif!

Just goes to remind us, yet again, that suction dredging can be very dangerous. Seen and heard of hundreds of these reminders along the way. RIP
And even more so, as in Russ's testimony, if you be adding alcohol to the mix.

Lose me????? Russ you was the one who fell down in the water so I was holding you AND that submarine in the ungodly horrendous current!!!! ;) First day fun in DC and just got more and more interesting. #1 reason for going to DC was to meet Geno in person and mine with him before he passed on.. Mission accomplished and all other just frosting on the cake. Almost bled to death from leonards FIRE FILLED mac/cheese/chili concoction but yet again worth 100's a hours of agony to fulfill Genos wish and thousands of dollars& driving 2,500+ miles was a privledge I'd enjoyed. Putting faces to names was great and even got to meet and party with a great cop,a rocket scientist,Russ and GO too.......   John
