Yep, Those who went on and on about booming (highbanking) and "fantastic" new opportunities... blah.. blah.. blah.. well now we see the effect of all that surface with this highbanking permit.

Sometimes it is best to keep things on the hush-hush but I guess it would have been hard to make money off the miners if it was't promoted vociferously with hype and glamour.

I thought "booming" was dredging up out of the rivers edge,supposedly to be no closer than 100 ft. of the waters edge. Also called wiss-banging. Am I wrong?

The term booming is actually a term from the days of old. Refers to damming up much needed water and then let it loose for the sake of ground sluicing or fluming to a sluice. Besides the point...

The numskulls up north of me are calling (and promoting) highbanking with the suction dredge attachment, booming, whatever.
And now reading the new shat on the CDFG site it says "The method of mining known as booming, is prohibited within 100 yards of any river, stream or lake" on top of the whole Water Board permit crap.

I only see 2 or 3 slamming McCracken (the same ones on all the forums) they seem to have the opinion that he should have compromised his rights to save theirs? I wonder if they would have been willing to do the same, if their claims were under the same attack?

Pat you need to ask those that a lot more pertainant info than i do! but i see and understand what has happened in California but what i dont know or understand is the facts and or the reasons that lead up to this all out fight for our rights.and its spreading across the states! i understand there was a disput or a flat out argument/pzzn match between some karuks and a couple of 49ers over the waters/streams use and it got out of hand real fast. this should of been setteled unless there was a hidden agenda between these two groups. the wacogreenies are/was and always is looking for ANY excuse to stop all mining everywhere. plus the local dredgers were being bumped out of their dredgeing locations because of the claims that the new 49ers had aquired, and they didnt like that! neither would i, but they should have claimed that area to prevent their loss of dredgeing locations. Dave Mac saw this area was open for claim, so he did! i think anyone would have done the same! yep the new49ers claimed a lot of good streams. he was in the position todo so for his club. so it looks like theres three factions fighting for this ground. and thats when the wacolawyers co9ntacted the karuks and informed them of all the money they could gain by including this area into their "tribeal lands" but they dont have any lands of their own, but they are claiming that they do. and now the california dems get involed because of all the payback they owe the enviromentalist and to appease the tribs. so the lawsuits start. and the slanted courts/gubermint/green lawyers start their blind sided pressure on the courts dispite that we have the given Congressional Right to mine that land of the recoverable metals and the karuks/greenie lawyers and the courts discount every sceintific document from all of the gubermints own agencies(COE,DFW,and so on for almost every western state and Alaska. but they want more tests/surveys done again with their madeup quialifications and unproven/unquilified/lies that are redundatly repeated and shut down by our QUALIFIED PEOPLE! so here we are, what do we do? do we roll over and play dead? take up knitting/tennis/thumb twiddeling? or do we fight this with the Congessional right behind us? if we dont fight this,what will be next? California is already propseing to BAN prospecting/mining altogether! are we willing to let this happen? IM NOT! if PLP,WMA,RC,EOMA, or Waldo wasnt there to fight this outright THEFT of our rights, who will step up to the plate to fight this???????? Washington state has said they would work with the Resources Coalition /Bedrock Prospectors/and the WMPA to come up with some wording thatll work for all affected partys! and for about 7 years these groups did spend a lot of time and their own money tring todo so only to be lied to and had their work dumped into the trash can and the WDFW used what they had planned on from the begining! hows that for working together! i kinda see a little trend here ,dont you! and beleive me, this will spread to all the states, not just the western states and i see that the FS is trying to do just that! in their hand book they are using their meaning/understanding of the 1872 mining laws. and what are we going to do about it???????????????????? pzzin amoungst ourselves isnt getting us anywhere and the wacogreenies loving it! well theres my .02 cents worth of my little brain! im pzzed also about what has taken place and our encrochment of our Constitional rights! they want our guns also! o bilery and o have agreed to a UN deal over that! can a civil war be next on the horizone? would anyone be willing to go that far?? i dont think theres enough true Americans that care anymore! i guess the saying,from now on will be," shut up and just pay the fine"!!! so waht will it be??????
