It's an open invitation for the week to 10 days that we are up there. Feel free to join us. I won't promise any large gold as most of what we find is small but if you don't like my claim, you can go on the GPAA claims. They are next to mine.

Your PM function will work after you've made 3 posts.

Ok I'm a little confused as for the permit. I sent ours in like in January and got a letter back from them telling me they did away with permits and that all I had to do was tell a forest ranger what were doing. ?????????? Who knows the truth of the matter lol. I've been to the rangers office in larime before so if I have to stop there on the way up I can.........

I think you will be fine if you just bring the letter with you. Since I drive right by the office, i'll probably stop by and see what they want to do. Otherwise, if you want, call the phone number on the permit form I posted. Thats their contact number.

New Question........... lol I usually come in by the fox park side (hiway 230) but I invited my boss and his wife up and he has a 40ft 5th wheel, is there another way in or do you think he can get that big baby in there coming thru fox park ? I've only come in there from that 1 direction and my old 5th wheel was only like 20-24 ft.

most of us also come in 230/FoxPark and i think youll do ok. my friend Gary Olson came in with his "motorcoach" pusher, and its big and he did ok! Wally is comeing in and hes got a train to pull and he was there last year for a month! the only narrow spot is at the left turn at FoxPark and everyone needs to drive slow through there or the complaints will "flow" because of kids and dust.also go to http://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman ... rawsflag=3 for a good sat.veiw of the roads/turns. take 230 west out of Laramie to Woodslanding, uphill to USForest service rd.512 .itll be on your right. follow it to FoxPark and make a left turn there (drive slow) also called "Platte river rd.folllow it to Lake Creek at the split, keep on Platte River rd(usfs512) follow it to the "flats" at usfs 543 /usfs512 bear right and go across the new bridge and your there at the flats! this link i posted gives you a good idea of how the roads are as far as turns are concerned. keep a good eye out for the logging trucks that may be in the area!

I hope you have a great time up there in them hills. Maybe even find a little of the yella stuff to curb the fever.

Drive safe and watch out for the hot stuff! Remember to take plenty of liquids to stave off dehyrdration,

The CCC rides again.

Have a great time.
