all it takes is a battery powered saw and in 2 seconds your in truble with the law. the greens will cut the cap off and then call the cops. best if you must use pvc to fill it with rocks then cap it. this way if the pipe cap gets cut off, the pipe will be full of rocks.

take a picture of your claim markers and submit it with your claim papers and keep a copy for yourself. that way if/when the markers are damaged/missing, you already have proof that they were staked properly! a penny wise!

small rocks are free. just fill it up with a lot of rocks. take some photos too. you will want to put a hole in the bottom so water can get out or you stand a chance of the pipe busting. in the east we have what is called a T post for wire fenceing. there good to drive in the ground. then wire, or weld on a pipe with a closed end and a cap on the other for the location paper work. no way for a critter to get in its off the ground and you can paint the post any color you want.

in case your wondering i can get any thing out of the gound. some times its easy some times you got to work at itl but i can do it.

Once the pipe is full of dead birds no more can get in. Problem solved.

I've always t post--fill with rocks and cement slurry to finish it off as even then when shot 100s a times and pvc falls away it still stands and damn'm all to hell-John
