1st-classify all cons dry to 50-mesh to past 100 mesh. Extend the control valve hose at least 10" from the bowl as it causes a restricted C flow instead of a round 0 flow and causes aireation also from constriction. Your original D.A.M industries aka blue bowl must be absolutely level,use a level to check,water level will not be level as inlet force raises some. Dampen cons just wet to just cover and use only a fresh water inlet as rerunning dirty water increases the specific gravity of the water and when dealing with gold microns smaller than baby powder dust it all matters. Look at water on top for any oil,discoloration as must be clean. Run the bowl up till you see that righteous toilet bowl swirl-please note in Oz a different direction-you will be within a 1/4" or so from the top. Introduce with a big serving spoon at least 6" from the inlet to obtain the light feathering effect for proper floatation classification. Up against the wall and don't disturb the flow. Run for a minute or so till most blacks gone,then add more SLOWLY till the exit cone, after 3 minutes or so,still has a black circle around it. The largest black sands and gold will be left-dump and repeat. When all done simply let them dry and by a slight tap tap at about 15 degree angle the remaining black goes away,slight air pressure works also and righteous micro is yours. Caution as soooo small when scraping into a pile it creates a electrostatic charge and gold will jump around like spit on a griddle-party on and it's goooooood. Sometimes with good gold in low mineralized cons them micro square cubes do not remain and good to go as NUTTN' ever gets it 100% clean every time without outrageos loss-John

I was the 3rd dealer for the company and was proud to sell Mr.Hepfners, RIP as we are indeed greatly diminished, quality product for many years. If you look on the bottom of the ol'school bowls there is a numbered hot hand pressed stamp and it's age is thusly known. We had in the store a watertight wet processing area with a dozen or so bowls,micro-sluices,yellow jacket trommel,centrafuges,mini concentrators ,wheels and anyone could come in and process cons for FREE. Many dozens a goldfarbs were hauled in to try and we constantly compared every pan and whidget known to man at the time. When I retired from making retail equipment and moved to Auburn the only concentrator I took with me was ol' #126 and for over 34 years I hasn't missed a spec. Run right--throw away current instructions as NOT correct-- as it was designed and your good to go. John

John, i have a blue bowl but id like info on the green bowl aswell. which one of the green bowls was the best. the one with the "rings" or the one with the "wings"?? or, who cares about it cause the blue bowl was better?? id just like your opinion! i was told the one with the "rings" was best.

EZ to do ol'bud as exactly the same except the cons introduced-both only cons as never rough material-are 1/16th inch to 50 mesh. Old school green bowl--which was invented by Green machine products in the hills in the grapevine north outta LA-only half a cuppa joe and only 2 brain cells working. Please excuse but yet another RIP---almost all my friends are mining in hell as the environutz own heaven now. The Green machine fantastic crusher and hydro pan jigs were sold by lazy prodigny just like the Miller table molds that you coveth so much to folks who totally screwed them up to the point of being worthless and then dropped from the produst line as no'mo'sales. Old school green bowl ,as originally designed, worked great for slightly larger concentrates BUT it was re-engineered with wings hahahahaha it was a mining tool and then turned into purt' near junk as aka to a tampex with wings--god I'm bad at 3 am. Anyhow cool tool for what it was designed for and they sit next to each other in my shop. Will never sell as I'll needm' in hell. Read read read and take heed from the info I sent ya bud as the words out the fix is in in Misery dredge bs and feds trying to finish off the draconian dredge regs and promulgate them into Idaho first by 1/15/2013 and then the anti dredging cancer from the klamath--also pumping water of any kind with anything--will be instituted nationwide same same as clean water act/reclaimation bs/superfund bs--god I hate the friggn' EPA-lotza luck as here comes the big'n with no ky bud-John
