Notice of Intent

Postby cowboy444 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 4:32 pm

March 13, 2012 – BLM has published a Notice of Intent in the Federal Register to revise six Resource Management Plans (RMP) with an associated Environmental Impact Statement for the Western Oregon Planning Area. The planning area includes 2,550,000 acres of BLM-administered public lands in the Coos Bay, Eugene, Medford, Roseburg, and Salem Districts, and the Klamath Falls Resource Area of the Lakeview District. This notice announces the beginning of the scoping process and seeks public comments on planning issues related to the RMP revisions. BLM has identified several preliminary planning issues under consideration, including public access of OHVs. Regarding OHV access, BLM asks, “How should the BLM-administered lands be managed to meet the demand for OHV use while protecting other resources and recreation uses? How should transportation networks to and across the BLM-administered lands be evaluated?”
Comments will be accepted until June 7, 2012. It is important that OHV enthusiasts get involved in the designation process by contacting BLM staff. Comments may be submitted online; by email: BLM_OR_Forestry_Plan@blm.gov; by fax: 503–808–6333; or by mail: P.O. Box 2965, Portland, OR 97208. Dates/addresses for any scoping meetings that are scheduled will be announced at least 15 days in advance through local media, newspapers, and online.
For further information, please contact Michael Campbell, Western Oregon RMP Outreach Coordinator, at 503–808–6031 or at BLM_OR_Forestry_Plan@blm.gov.

I told you people that if they get away with it in CA, The rest f the other states aren't far behind.
And still folks do not want to support a national organization. I'm donna say it again.
