Unfortunately, we can not dredge out here in Vermont. In fact, they even prohibit sluices and what gold there is tends to be fine flood gold. But it is still fun to pan and the country is beautiful. Like they say, a bad day gold panning, even in Vermont, beats a good day at work.

Vermont is just like Kalifornia... need a permit to FART!

Vermont has some pretty nice/big gold but not many will tell you that. Maine does too, here's a picture or two...

Nice Gold Jack !! Is that in Vermont or Maine ?
My biggest problem is finding places that it is ok to go.
Did go to Cold Creek in Clarendon VT a couple weeks ago......found a few specs panning. Definitely will go back.
