I have the ignition module backed all the way down to avoid backfires when starting and an all to frequent view of the sky.
I also have the carb jetted down so I only have to stop at every other gas station.
If I were to undo these things the manufacturer of the blower says I an sitting on 170 HP although I have not put it on the dyno.
From a 30mph rolling start I can steadily walk away from my kids Triumph 955 until about 90mph. He has 2 more gears and twice the redline so there is not much competition after that.
I think that's pretty good and the best thing is I don't have to look like a power ranger in the fetal position to do it...Dont mess with oldschool... :D

when the 49er site(Ashworth/Higbee's old site) gets back up, search the archives. Several threads on threading your engine shaft.

I bought a brand new 6.5 hp Honda with a keyed shaft and had a friend thread it for a P180. He had done the same to a Honda clone.

Just pull the crank and it is easy if you have the knowhow.
