pickaxe
you got a point there !! I guess I will find out when I ask someone to do just that. it seems to be the best solution. I try and do things without asking favors.

Bill:

Answer this, do you have shipping from UPS, or FedEx?

If it's shipped out of the US then duties are charged and International freight may be a nightmare. I have a feeling that your back to looking at the $100.00 shipping charges. Plus what is your mail service like. Can a package be sent by the USPS and will Costa Rica mail get it to you.

I think your best bet is getting it through somebody down there that knows how to get it delivered into Costa Rica.

ups and dhl are out of site price wise.i don´t think fed x is around here. usps with a 5 to 7 day ship would be the best bet at around 20 bucks. now just need to get somebody to ship it to me. I can buy it on line. then just need to get someone the cash for shipping.

Pump the brakes!

I checked the fuel tank I have and there is a problem
It had some rust so I cleaned it out with some muriatic acid and it sprang a leak. It's not in a spot I can weld up so you would be better off buying a new tank.

If you want, find a tank online and have it shipped to me, I will forward it for the cost of postage.
I know that a Large USPS flat rate box will get to Afghanistan in about 8-10 days for under $15, your results should be similar.

For the fearfully pessimistic ...Yes, I heated the acid with a torch on the bottom of the tank. No, it did not explode ;)

OK Mr. Bill , Cut Tank in half , sandpaper inside of tank untill it looks
like new, fiberglas tank halves back together . See how easy that was.
Now go suck up some gold. I am going out this Sunday, must have a death wish,
the river is running 4 times as fast and is 3 times deeper than normal for this time
of year. But I am sure that yellow stuff is calling for me to come get it.

OK B&S tank is plastic, got a hole in my old one & was able to patch it up
for the season, good reason not to have a metal tank.
