If you get an engine with a keyed shaft and have it threaded, you need to make sure the length of the shaft is correct and the shoulder on the shaft to be in the correct place on the shaft or the pump won't work on it since the impeller screws all the way to the shoulder of the shaft, the length of the shaft and where the shoulder is located on the shaft is important for the impeller to be in correct location within the pump housing.
Someone was telling me to other day that they owned a new Keene P-180 pump that fits a 5/8" keyed shaft, but I haven't called Mark Keene to find out if that is a fact or not, I would suggest calling Keene to find out, it would make a lot of sense for Keene to make a keyed pump IMHO, if it's a fact that Keene makes one now you would still need the shaft to be of the correct length and have the shoulder be correct as well, so that is another question that should be asked if you call Keene.
