Hey Pop!

What were the size (approx dimensions)of those fender floats on your 4" rolling wonder?
I have found a source for fenders here but don't know size for a 4" dredge.
Thanks

The rolling wonder was left on the trash pile by the pot farmers who used it as a cover to hide their occupancy at a grow site 3 years ago. Last seen on the shores at the confluence of dutch creek and the trinity river, but all trash was washed away 2 winters ago-Look downriver lotza luck-----John :? Remembered last night that it was the year Leonard visited my house and it was posted on this forum--might be old forum as maybe 3-4 years ago-much LL since so thats about as close as I can get. There is still a 8" shell and a nozzle also as thats all much higher on my claim corner. I cleaned all their other ungodly mess and left that as thought someone would steal it and do me a favor as HUGE. The engine was used to pump water up a cliff to water pot and pontoons minus dredge to float buds across the river as on the north bank. Why would anyone want it???

those inflateable floats were hole thru middle taylor bumpers. They were just big enough for a 4'' dredge.
when over inflated they "footballed" and rubbed the U shape support so had limits to weight supported.. Good for a 4 inch with air and had plenty of reserve boyancy.
The whole thing was nearly indestrible and rolled to the water just great.
The bigger dredge had custom made semi ridgit foam floats that were coated to 3/8 '' with the same stuff that is used to make 'Pipe line pigs" .. Real tough.. road proof. Could be scalled up to any size but cost a lot. The twin engine dredge had so much extra floatation that with the sluice full , two people could ride dry down stream to new locations.
Cost to much for the adverage prospecter so never got into making them for sale, just two, 4'' and 6'' (mine).
I could make a new one from scratch but it would be ??? $4k-$5k.
Had twin 6.5's hondas and twin Goldivers pumps and twin cylinder air with either a custom twin input jet or a gold divers jet.
Over and under sluice and a rubber custom flair. The whole thing could be folded in two and rolled 15 mph down a dirt road or left un folded and still pulled up a steep bank rolling over small bolders bushes whatever and not needing disasembly.
Was nice,, oh yea... got gold too LOL..

Yes that's the one,but after your description that is not the way it ran. Mohawk crackboy from corning and B? gray landcruiser from the bat area(cashman)were trying to sell me the rig minus the engines for $200. I ran for a half hour and to get back across the trinity and haul 1/2 miles up hill through massive boulders, poison oak and such for scrap value was just too much work. I posted it here and a couple a other forums also. Leonard was here at the house visiting 5 years ago and it was within a week or two prior. It was left with other trash on the north bank so I posted it on the bulletin board at the Junction market, firehous and grange hall meeting as free so come and get it---wow 5 years ,how the time do fly. Maybe someone finally took it or mama natures flushes all demetris every winter as way below high water mark ;) -John
