JOE s-n' ak?????

Postby Hoser John » Wed Oct 26, 2011 6:57 am

Has anyone seen or heard form Joe in Alaska or home?? They were gracious enough to stop on by for the night before heading north and no posts whatsoever?? Just a question to make sure they are both ok as neither was a picture of health when passing through. If we don't keep track of our own who will?? Anyhow anyone hear anything???John

I just talked to Joe. Everyone's fine and they are leaveing Trapper Creek tonight and headed to northern california for a visit or 2 and then home to cut firewood for the winter. He said they had a crummy gold summer but a great time. He bought into 3 gold claims so "wait until next year".

From what I heard, it was a real wet summer and not nice to be out in the rivers and ocean. I'm not sure how the salmon harvest went this year, but I suspect they had it tough also.

Thanx much for helping as I can not find his cell number that was left here. Looks llike my timing was right and thanx for the good/not so good news but sounds like a full large boat this year for friends/associates for slow gold also. ;) When cheap ez to find now expensive and elusive but kalif sure makes it hard now and impossible come the first of november by water board promulgation----John

Well, all,

Yes, I have finally pulled into the Indiana winter house after a 5300 mile return trip. As LEONARD mentioned, I'm now part owner in 2 claims, full owner in another and now have many others to wander around and mine on next spring, summer and fall.

A bum leg slowed me up all summer and resulted in not being able to mine much at all. Hopefully the docs will figure it all out for me this winter and I'll be able to hit it hard next spring.

So thanks everyone for worrying 'bout me - Just a really late start this winter.
