Worthless S P A M !

Russ, this seems to be the second blatant occurrence by goldwow6, and to me that may well suggest that he might / maybe / ought 'a be /should be shown the door.

Taken care of.

He's gone. He was a spammer from China that I must have missed. Thats why I keep the registration off. I turned it on yesterday for about an hour to let Danny, fanaticNY register and there were 6 spammers register in that hour. They start showing up as soon as I open it. There must be an automated program out there that has the forum address.

Joe i dont have that kinda boot! all i can do is delete if it gets to bad. on several sites it seems that there is a large influx of new people(?) that are getting on these prospecting sites and have real different kinda names which leads me to think if they are what they say they are.

in what way? Leonard blocks access unless he confirms them, but when he unlocked the access for another person to join, there was a bunch of (????) lined up to get in and thats how we got this spammer. or do you refer to eliminating this thread by deleteing? i can do that! it seems that all the prospecting sites are getting hit by these spammers/porno types. even 49ermikes site got it awhile ago!

The only time I open the forum for registration is when I get an email asking me to. I then open it up for a couple of hours until the person sends me an email with their user name that they registered with. I then authorize that account and delete all of the others that registered. Usually around 6 per hour the registration was open. I would guess that this one registered before I started doing it this way.

I didn't delete the whole thread just so you can see what is being done to keep them out. Check the GPAA forum. They are having a major problem and they can't shut it down the way I did.
