i wish him luck,... they have shut down almost all legal mining in costa rica. :evil:

yes , it is the government that has been spurred on by the green weenies. this is a eco-tourism country. if it puts the country in a bad light they try and change it. the weenies have a big funding back up. people from the USA come to Costa Rica and organize the people to protest. lots of money, media attention and videos on u-tube have changed the way people see mining. if you are outside of any park and use only a shovel and sluice you are ok… but, no pumps. all rivers are owned by the government for the people and have total control. was asking the government a couple of weeks ago about permits for my 10 and the possibility of a shaker and backhoe operation. they didn´t want to talk at all. just kinda smiled and shook their head…. maybe it was my bad Spanish ?
