Test of a 2 Inch Super Gold Sucker at Cajon Creek

Postby deserdog » Sun Aug 14, 2011 11:17 am

This time I did a test to see how much a 2 inch super gold sucker would move per suction stroke. I sucked up 10 sequintial pans and took pictures of each pan. After I had taken a picture of each pan, I ran the material through on of my sluice, this time a keene sluice setup with standard riffles and ribbed carpet. Here are the pictures.

One strange thing is that I recovered almost no gold in this test. Along time ago I found out this area pans way better than it sluices, at least if you use a standard sluice like I used in this test.
