This page will document any changes to the other pages. Most pages have 2-3 pictures and each picture is about 40-60K so they will take a few minutes to download. Pictures are JPG's and look best with display set to 65K or more colors. Most are saved in a near full screen or larger size so if you are using Netscape, clicking the right mouse button will enlarge them with a fair to good resolution.

At last the long promised Clear Creek is here. Check out "Dredging Clear Creek in
October." This was a dredging trip with a Keene 5" triple sluice. Great time was
had by all. We had a beginning panner come along to learn how to pan. After a slow start
in the middle of the stream where we were, we moved him to the opposite bank to another
likely looking place. he then proceeded to get almost as much gold than we did ( that
wasn't much though ). This was the last major trip of the season.
02/10/97
Added Clear Creek, Co. This isn't the long promised Clear Creek. It will be soon. This is
winter dredging at it's best or worst depending on your stage of gold fever.
01/26/97
New page added under "Alma, Colorado." This is an October 1996 Gold Prospectors
of the Rockies outing. Also added "Gold from the Golden Optimist." Two pictures
of gold found at the claim. It won't turn many of you on but I enjoyed finding it.
01/26/97
Added "Moving rocks." It was fun to make but it will take you a little time to
go through. There are 11 pictures. Enjoy.
Have a good time and drop me an email if you get the chance. I don't hear from many prospectors so drop me a line to the The "Golden Optimist" There are many days in the winter that the temperature doesn't get to the required 40 degrees or so and it's hard to pan when ice continually forms in the pan.
May the bottom of your pan turn yellow.
