Jerry, I too echo Leonard's & the others comments. Please send me 10 booklets of tickets - 6855 Woodstock Street Security, CO 80911-9395. I will try again to stir up interest at my club meeting 2 Nov, or purchase myself. People talk the talk, it's time to walk the walk. Since our club is a member of PLP, the average member is oblivious to having their own personal membership - every $ helps.

You can ask him for one, even politely, but he won't give it to you till it's released to the public.

Scratch all those dates for the meetings they have delayed it again (Hoser, are you some sort of future reading profhet, why is it he always right)

This just e-mailed to me.

** High Priority **

Interested Parties

Our schedule for public release of the Draft SEIR and Suction Dredge Regulations has held a target date of the last week of December, 2010, for some time. I regret to inform you that we must defer this until approximately February 1, 2011. Assuming a release on that date I project a date of filing new regulations with the Secretary of State in mid-October 2011.

While we are close to final wording of the draft regulations and the analysis in the Draft SEIR we are not far enough along to conclude our final review, make any necessary edits and produce the document to release the documents in the next few weeks. We had previously projected public meetings for the last week in January and first week of February. These will also need to be rescheduled in late February or early March to allow some time for public review before the meetings.

As to public availability of these documents, we will be printing a very limited number of paper copies. At a production cost of a couple hundred dollars/copy we cannot afford to print a large number. We intend to make copies available at county libraries and some DFG offices for review on-site. The documents will also be available for review and downloading in adobe acrobat format from the DFG website at http://www.dfg.ca.gov and we will print several hundred compact disks with all of the files on them. We will mail compact disks on request and make copies available at the public meetings.

As I posted in your new thread, WHAT A SURPRISE!!! :shock: :shock:

Just dragging their feet as always, I guess they have to extend their paychecks, I guess if they finished it as planned they would have to justify why they're still needed, IMHO they're not needed at all, bunch of pricks!!!! :twisted: :twisted:

Non Suction Dredging Activities

Postby cmfd70 » Sun Jan 02, 2011 10:37 pm

Quote from the DFG’s Non Suction Dredging Activities

Notice of Preparation and Initial Study

http://www.dfg.ca.gov/suctiondredge/doc ... 091025.pdf

Against this backdrop, for purposes of this Initial Study and the SEIR, key constitituent parts of a suction dredge include the following:
(1) A vacuum hose operating through the Venturi effect which removes sediment from the bottom of the stream;
(2) A motor‐driven pump; and
(3) A sluice box.

The following, in turn, is an incomplete list of activities that are not considered suction dredging for purposes of the Proposed Program, as they are not subject to the Department’s permitting authority under Fish and Game Code section 5653, subdivision (b). However, other permits or authorizations from the Department may be required, including in some instances a Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1600 et seq. (See also Cal. Code Regs., tit. 14, § 228, subd. (f).)

• Use of non‐motorized (e.g., hand‐powered) suction dredging equipment;
• High‐banking outside of the existing water line;
• Sluicing or panning for gold;
• Use of a suction dredge with its intake pipe removed but still using a pump to move water through the sluice box;
• Power sluicing for gold; and
• Use a suction dredge (e.g., cutterhead dredge) for the purposes of infrastructure maintenance, flood control, or navigational purposes.

There may be other methods of placer mining not captured by the above list
